Bessie Laprade

Bessie Louise "Bootsie" LaPrade, 72, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Marshpund Burton. "Bootsie" is survived by four daughters, Shelly Gschwind and husband, Jim of Illinois, Bonnie L. French of Dinwiddie, Cindy R. Moore and husband, Ronnie of DeWitt, and Shawn L. Pollard of Petersburg; two sisters, Linda Wells and husband, Mike and Carol Gibbs all of Dinwiddie; a brother-in-law, Barry Wilson of Petersburg; three step-children; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; best friends, Ollie, Kay, and Dorothy. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Entombment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
