Bessie Ozmore

Bessie Whitehead Overby Ozmore, 89, of Matoaca died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Ozmore was a former manager of Gene's 5 & 10 in Emporia, and was a member of Monumental United Methodist Church in Emporia. She was preceded in death by a stepson, Wayne Ozmore, and her husband Harry O. Ozmore. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Jane Ozmore; granddaughter, Dawn Ozmore and husband, Bradley; grandson, Wayne J. Ozmore Jr. and wife, Kimberly; great-granddaughter, Brittany; great-grandsons, Corey and Christan; great-granddaughter, Olivia; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2008 at Greensville Memorial Cemetery, 1250 Skippers Road, Emporia with the Rev. Michael Reaves officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 Sunday at the funeral home.
