Beth Kozlik

Beth Sherrill Kozlik, 72, of Colonial Heights, Virginia passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, January 9, 2022.  She was born on September 27, 1949 in Griffin, Georgia, to the late Marion Julius Sherrill and Dora Elizabeth Moseley Sherrill.   After graduating from Georgia Southern College, Beth pursued a career in teaching, working with students grades 6 and under.  Before retirement, her recent teaching years were held at Midway Elementary in Dinwiddie, Virginia.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, working on needlework projects and reading. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, worshiper and friend to many.  She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Douglas Alvin Kozlik; daughter, Allison Kozlik Tilley; son, Douglas Blake Kozlik (Tiffany); three grandchildren, Amber Wade, Dansby Kozlik and Huxley Kozlik and two brothers, Reuben Sherrill (Pat) and Jeffrey Sherrill (Skyla).  A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Destination Church, 5258 Oaklawn Boulevard, Hopewell, VA, 23860. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the church.
