Beth Walta

Beth (Beverly Jayne Edwards Henderson) Walta was taken by God to be with Him, and her loving life long sweetheart husband, Mike H. Walta, Sr. who preceded her, where we know she is happy. They had been married 48 and a half years, almost all of her life. She is also preceded in death by her father, James Ward Edwards; her mother, Gay Olive Henderson; sisters, Evelyn Grace Turner, Judith Marie Thompson, Edna Kay Blair; and brother, Keith Vestal. She is survived by her brother, Edward Bruce Henderson; her three wonderful devoted children, Michael H. Walta, Jr., Patricia Ann Walta Seamster, and Joseph Edward Walta; six grandchildren, Mike Walta III, Josh Walta, Steven Michael Seamster, Kristen Lindsey Seamster, Megan Victoria Seamster, and Stephanie Marie Walta. Beth was a life member of Bensley Bermuda Vol. Rescue Squad holding many positions. She was a CPR and first aid instructor, which she really enjoyed. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter131 in Colonial Heights. She was a Brownie, Girl Scouts, and Boy Scouts leader, as well as, a PTA officer, and room mother. She was involved with her kids' activities as they were growing up, and served as a mentor to many. A funeral service will be held Wednesday , May 14, 2008 at 2:00pm at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Funeral Home & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Rev. Ken Webb officiating. Interment Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends Monday and Tuesday from 7-8:30 pm. A Women of the Moose Service will be Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm.
