Bethel Bell

Bethel (Beth) Tarris Bell, 84, of Chester, died Wednesday, October 1, 2008 in Chippenham Medical Center. Native of Richmond, she was daughter of the late George Jackson Tarris and Grace Rosanne Demler Tarris. She was widow of Hilton A. Bell and was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Miller. A registered nurse, she was a member of Stuart Circle Alumni Nurses Association. She is survived by four children, Virginia (Gina) Beaumont of Colonial Heights, Judy Hester Bean (Hans) of Amelia, Jack L Beaumont (Dianne) of Honeoye, New York, Bette L. Beaumont of Midlothian; grandchildren, Chris Hester, Jason Beaumont, Jeff Hester, Brian Kindley, Sarah Hough, Jessica Johnstone, Brandon Bean, and Desma Bean; twelve great-grandchildren; three nieces, Arlene Miller, Darlene Miller, and Carol Riffe. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 2008 in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Richmond with the Rev. Elvis B. Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
