Bettie "Ann" Wade, 80 of Matoaca, passed away Saturday June 29, 2013. She was born November 17, 1932 in Petersburg, Virginia, to the late Julius Manfield Jackson and Annie Ruth Mumford Jackson. Mrs. Wade was preceded in death by her husband Robert Edward Wade Sr. She was a member of Matoaca Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons Robert Edward Wade Jr., and wife Deborah of Warrenton, North Carolina, David Leonard Wade and wife Cindy of Matoaca, grandson, Jesse David Wade, granddaughter Ashley Michelle Cundiff and husband Chris, great-grandson Benjamin Wayland Cundiff, future great-granddaughter Natalie Annelise Cundiff, three step-grandsons Wayne, Chris, Brandon, adopted son Ray Russell, adopted daughter Shirley Ann Poole, brother Raymond "Sonny" Jackson, David "Catbird" Jackson, Robert "Hardrock" Jackson, sisters Doris M. Thompson, Sue M. Greene, special nieces Linda Bell, Debra Welch, and a special friend Marie Barger. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday July 2, 2013 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Donald Joyner officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Chester, Virginia. The family will receive friends Monday July 1, 2013 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
