Betty Davis

Betty Ruth Gray Burton Davis, 77, formerly of Radford, passed away Tuesday November 22, 2011 at her home in Colonial Heights. Her family was the most important part of her life. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who was loved very much and will be missed everyday. She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Ruby Burton; brothers, John O. Burton and Claude Burton. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 59 years, Jess Davis; daughter, Tamara Williams and husband Michael; son, Randall Davis and wife Rene; grandchildren, Jon Williams and wife Tiffany, Chris Williams, Amanda Clougher and husband Billy, Kelsey McKnight and husband Carson, Keaton Davis; great-grandchildren, Addison Williams and William Clougher; sisters, Helen Burton, Gerri Boland, Lois Moore, and Beatrice Hamlin; brothers, Bill Burton and wife Mary, Charlie Burton and wife Sandra; many nieces and nephews that were very special to her. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Rockford United Methodist Church in Fairlawn with Pastor T. Michael Bond officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Garden in Christiansburg. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday November 25, 2011 at DeVilbiss Funeral Home.
