Betty Edwards

Edwards, Betty G., 75, of Colonial Heights, entered eternal life on Sunday, July 25, 2010. She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Goodman; mother, Mattie Goodman; sister, Ann Clarke; and brother, Curtis Goodman Jr. She retired from the Colonial Heights School System and was a member of Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. We are all blessed to have been a part of her life. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John C. Edwards; daughter, Pamela Hoebel; son-in-law, Gregory Hoebel; grandchildren, Amanda Hoebel and Daniel Hoebel; brothers-in-law, Aubrey Edwards and Jack Edwards (Faye); as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Rick Geoghegan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 6 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
