Betty Gerino

Betty R. Gerino Betty Reid Gerino, 89, of Colonial Heights, died Wednesday, February 12, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Elmore Reid Sr. and Sadie Mae Edwards Reid and was predeceased by her grandson, William Thomas Garrison. Mrs. Gerino was the first paid secretary and a long-time member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Survivors include her four children, Robert Jay Gerino and wife, Mary Jean, Linda Jo Deluge and husband, Warren, Ticia Gerino, and John Ronald Gerino; one sister, Elizabeth Reid Wilson; three brothers, Clarence Elmore Reid Jr. and wife, Mary Jane of Florida, Robert David Reid and wife, Millie, and James Wesley Reid and wife, Ruth; ten grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014 in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester with the Reverend Dr. Andrew Brockelman officiating.
