Betty Hale

Betty A. Hale, 83, of Petersburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Percy and Ruth West Atkins, and the widow of William Calleson Hale Sr. Mrs. Hale was a member of Christ & Grace Episcopal Church. She is survived by two sons, Willard E. Setliff and Michael L. Setliff; step-sons, Preston Chatham and Tod Hale; step-daughter, Betsy Hale Horn; adopted son, Larry Hains; a sister, Martha A. Honeycutt; and a niece, Cathy Troutman. A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George with the Reverend David Teschner officiating. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 in Christ & Grace Episcopal Church, 1545 Sycamore Street, Petersburg, Virginia 23805.
