Betty Stein

Betty Ann Stein, 78, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 after battling an illness for several months. Born on August 26, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Gladys Ashley. Mrs. Stein was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Matoaca, Virginia. She is survived by her sisters, Wilma Elkins and husband, Jimmie, and Mary Henshaw; sister-in-law, Joyce Ashley; nieces, Sharon Franklin and husband, Charles, and Robin Via; nephews, Michael Elkins, Robert Elkins and wife, Bertha, Doug Henshaw and wife, Stacee, Brian Ashley and wife, Sherri; two aunts, Marie Skerritt and Viola Bishop; and many other family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend Scott Price officiating. The family will receive friends Monday night from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
