Betty Story

Betty Jo Story, 86, of Colonial Heights, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Chippenham Medical Center. She was born November 17, 1930 to the late Walter Clark and Lillian Beaver Pixley and was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood Earl Story; a brother, Wayne Pixley; and a sister, Joyce Pixley. Betty was a member of Highland United Methodist Church and retired from Colonial Heights High School as a Secretary. She is survived by two daughters, Betsy Story Duncan and husband, Mike, Lori-Ann Story; six grandchildren, Josh Neathery, Chad McAlister, Justin Minter, Justin Duncan, Jeremy Minter and Jordan Minter; one brother, Elmer Pixley; and one sister, Daphne Pond. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Funeral services will be Private.
