Billie Fay Walker, 79, of South Chesterfield passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016. Born on July 28, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Walter Thomas and Nervie Susie Phillips, and was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Phillips. Mrs. Walker was a member of First Assembly of God in Petersburg, Virginia, and retired from C&P Telephone and the former First and Merchants Bank. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Harry Hillman Walker; children, Gary H. Walker (Joy) of Sutherland, Steven W. Walker (Debbie) of Matoaca, Cynthia W. Archer (Donald) of Matoaca, John T. Walker, (Angela) of Dinwiddie; eighteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren who was also affectionately known as "Memaw"; sisters, Linda Armstrong and husband, Roy of Glen Allen, Susan Alley and husband, Clarence of Chesterfield; brother, Robert Phillips of Goochland; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at First Assembly of God, 25213 Ferndale Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23803, with the Reverends Dwayne Walker, Gregory Walker and Steven Gardner officiating.
