Billy Nichols

Billy Spencer Nichols, 83, of Petersburg, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Retreat Doctor's Hospital in Richmond. He was born February 19, 1931 to the late John Wallace Nichols and Mary Spencer Dekrafft Nichols. Mr. Nichols retired from the Petersburg Public Schools as an electronics teacher. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara E. Nichols of Petersburg; son, John W. Nichols of Austin, Texas; daughters, Cynthia E. Cochran of Fairfield, Virginia, Shirley Jean Self of Petersburg, Billie Jo Lane of Prince George; nine grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, Virginia, with the Reverend Rodney Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, April 7, 2014 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
