Billy “Bud” Hudler, 82, of Colonial Heights, passed away November 6, 2021. Mr. Hudler was born in Onslow County, North Carolina to the late Willie and Retha Hudler and was a member of City Point Restoration Church of God. He retired from LM Gravitte Custom Cabinets after over 30 years of service, and enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and babysitting his grandpuppy, Midnight. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Marie Hudler; and granddaughter, Kimberly Dodds. He is survived by his children, Bonnie Logan (Donald), Connie Clark, and Michael Hudler; grandchildren, Nicole Coker (Bryant), Katie Bradley (Tyler), Billy “Chris” Dodds (Kayla), and Timothy Hudler; great-grandchildren, Logan, Isabel, June, Ezra, and Lincoln; siblings, Peggy Sutton; Jimmy Hudler (Georgia); Jesse Hudler (Carolyn); Marie Malicoat (Ed); and Charles Hudler (Pat); and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive guests for visitation at 12 noon on Friday, November 12, 2021 at City Point Restoration Church of God, 2300 Bluefield Street, Hopewell, Virginia 23860. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., immediately following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org/donate) or to the charity of your choice.
