Bob Jones

Bob Steele Jones, 78, of Chesterfield died on Friday, July 23, 2021 at his residence. He was a native of Isle of Wight County and a long-time truck driver.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary and Gus Jones; sisters, Jeanette Cornett and Judy Dunlow; brother, Frank Jones; son, Eugene Livesay; and granddaughter, Gina Livesay.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Elsie Jones; daughter, Tammy Lynn and husband, Donny Williams; son, Bill Ellis; five grandchildren; and a total of nine great-grandchildren, 2 of which (Anthony and Lilly Shelley) were raised by him and his wife.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends Wednesday night, July 28, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
