Bobbie Dudley

Mrs. Bobbie Rae Dudley, 80, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Isolene Briley Rhodes, and the widow of James Edward "Jimmy" Dudley. Mrs. Dudley was a member of the Colonial Heights Baptist Church, and was a receptionist for Colonial Heights Health Care Center. She is survived by her siblings, Donald Rhodes and wife, Virginia of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Frederick Rhodes and wife, Jean of Grifton, North Carolina; Stuart Rhodes and wife, Anne-Marie of Virginia Beach, Beth Davidson and husband, Buddy of Clarksville, and Danny L. Rhodes and wife, Marsha of Chester; special cousin, Janice Walker and husband, Ed; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2011 in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester with the Reverend Michael Osborne officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the funeral procession leaving the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Flowers are welcome or contributions may be made to Colonial Heights Baptist Church, 17201 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
