Bollie L. (Bobby) Jarratt, 73, of Petersburg, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012. Born in Dinwiddie County, he was the son of the late Johnnie J. and Ruth Grizzard Jarratt. Mr. Jarratt was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, Petersburg and a United States Air Force veteran. He is survived by his wife, Betty Mae Jarratt; three sons, Bollie Lee Jarratt Jr. and wife, Nanette of Ashland, David W. Jarratt and Steven C. Jarratt both of Petersburg; two grandsons, Robert F. Jarratt and Timothy F. Jarratt; two granddaughters, Beth A. Jarratt and Kelly A. Jarratt all of Ashland; two brothers, Clifton G. Jarratt of Hopewell and Everette E. Jarratt of Summerville, South Carolina; three sisters, Pauline J. Pulley of Colonial Heights, Peggy A. Brinker of Hopewell and Gloria B. Kollmann of Chesterfield; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 in the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road with Pastor Ron Shortt officiating. Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. in Reidsville Baptist Church Cemetery, Sussex. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060.
