Bonnie Lawson

June 19, 1952 — July 30, 2015

Bonnie Browder Lawson, 63, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Harold Ray Browder. Mrs. Lawson was a member of the Swift Creek Baptist Church, the Colonial Heights Optimist Club, and the American Legion Post 284 Auxiliary. She retired from Verizon with over thirty years of service. Mrs. Lawson is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Robert A. "Bob" Lawson; a son, Christopher O. Royster and wife Tracie; step-son Robert A. Lawson Jr. and wife, Sharron; grandchildren, Riley Royster, Lenseay Royster and Hunter Lawson; her mother, Ruth M. Browder, and a sister, Linda B. Garrett and husband, Wesley; nephews, Erik, Charles and Chase, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2015 in the Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home & Crematory,2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Dr. Steve Felker officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Chester, Virginia. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 3-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
