Bonnie Juanita Tipton, 74, passed away on May 12, 2016. She was born in Petersburg, VA and lived in Prince George, VA. Bonnie was the daughter of the late Clarence Alton and Dorian Juanita Williams Tipton. In 1963, Bonnie graduated from Madison College(JMU) and in 1976, she earned her Master's degree from The College of William and Mary. She was a Virginia public school teacher for forty years, teaching in Alexandria, Colonial Heights, Chesterfield County and Newport News. She enjoyed reading and loved animals, especially cats. Bonnie is survived by her brother, Donald Curtis Tipton and wife, Janet of Chesterfield County, VA; nephews, Bryan Curtis Tipton of Richmond, VA and Christopher Alton Tipton and wife, Margaret; great-nephew, Davin Payne Tipton of Charlotte, NC; a great-niece, Olivia Margaux Tipton of Charlotte, NC; and several cousins. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 with the Rev. Dr. Randy Clipp officiating at Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA. The family is being served by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
