Brenda Chappell

Brenda Wilson Chappell, 63, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Retreat Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Gene H. and Marcelene Drummond Wilson. Mrs. Chappell was a member of Livingstone Baptist Church, and a Registered Nurse for Crater Community Hospice for many years. She is survived by her husband, William Stanley Chappell Jr.; three sons, Christopher L. Elder, Shawn W. Elder, and Jeffrey C. Elder; a daughter, Dana E. Mengel; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gene H. Wilson Jr. and wife, Anita, Timothy D. Wilson and wife, Pam, and Michael E. Wilson and wife, Bonnie; a sister, Helen W. Mann and husband, Jeryl; two uncles, O.B. Drummond, and Custis Edward Drummond. A chapel service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Brian Cole and the Reverend Carl Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
