Brigitte Margarete Puskeppeleit King, 78, of Colonial Heights, passed away peacefully, Sunday, April 3,2022 at MCV VCU Hospital in Richmond. Born in Berlin Germany, she was the daughter of the late Marianne Puskeppeleit and wife of the late Arthur L. King. A U.S. Army wife she spent most of their service career at Fort Lee and working numerous managerial jobs around the surrounding communities. Brigitte was an avid bowler and had a deep seeded passion for the game, running many leagues on Fort Lee and surrounding cities. She is survived by her three sons, Robert L. King and wife Tricia of Brigham City, Utah. Richard L. King and wife Robin of Eden, Utah, and Randy L. King of Colonial Heights, Virginia; siter-in-laws, Peggy King of Cheyne, Wyoming and Nancy Davis of North Salt Lake, Utah. She has ten grandchildren, Michael, Robert Jr., Kyle, Shantel, Whitney, Cory, Jake, Cassie, Victoria, Diana; fourteen great grandchildren; and lots of great nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her late husband Arthur King, in-laws, Emmet and Helen King, son, Michael, and numerous other relatives. The family would like to recognize three of mom’s closest friends, Patti Brown of Colonial Heights, Monica Fletcher Thompson of Chesterfield, and Margaret “Monkey” Dereski from Hopewell, your friendships meant the world to her and us. In lieu of a memorial service there will be a Celebration of Life, will be on Saturday, April 30,2022, at the Petersburg Masonic Building, 115 South Sycamore Street, Petersburg, Virginia from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
