Burrell Conrad "Connie" Hack, 82, of Chesterfield passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at his residence. He was a native of Colonial Heights. He was the son of the late John Lewis Sr. and Marie Shortt Hack. Mr. Hack was preceded in death by a brother; Josiah; sister, Beverly and daughter; Cathy. He was a member at Highland United Methodist Church. Mr. Hack was the former owner and operator of Connie Hack Buick, Nissan Mazda and also the American Motors dealership in Petersburg. He was a sixty year member of American Legion Post 284 and served in the U.S. Army, past president and member of the Colonial Heights Lion's Club, Petersburg and Colonial Heights Chamber of Commerce, and a past president of AUSA Fort Lee Chapter. Mr. Hack also served on the Fort Lee advisory committee, was a founding director for Community Bank, and past board member for Sovran Bank. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Dianne Maitland Hack; daughter, Linda Hevener and husband, Scott; grandsons, Cody, Curtis, and Jacob Hevener; brother, John L. Hack Jr. and wife, Barbara; sister-in-law, Kay Taillon and husband, Roger. A funeral service will be held Tuesday February 19, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend Dr. Daniel Hale officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 p.m.Monday February 18, 2013 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S.
