Calvin Brown

Calvin E. Brown Calvin Eugene Brown, 87, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at his residence. Born in Petersburg, Virginia he was the son of the late Noah Lonnie Brown and Susie Mae Denson Brown, and was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Brown Hamlin. Mr. Brown was a resident of Colonial Heights for over 57 years, and was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church. He retired from DuPont Chemical Company and served in the United States Army overseas in Italy. Mr. Brown is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy O'Berry Brown; a son, Gerald E. Brown of Chester; a daughter, Susan B. Nunnally and her husband, C.J. Nunnally Jr. of Dinwiddie; grandchildren, Angela L. Brown and Crystal M. Brown of Chesterfield, Callie N. Nunnally, Collin C. Nunnally, Coby J. Nunnally and Cari S. Nunnally all of Dinwiddie; three great grandchildren, Izayah K. Morton, Dylan L. Preston, and Jaiden Michael Nunnally Gordon; a brother, the Reverend Arnold F. Brown and his wife, Evelyn of Martinsburg, West Virginia; a special niece, Joyce Hamlin of Colonial Heights; cousin, Faith Huff and husband, Melvin; and a brother-in-law, Obie O'Berry and wife, Pat. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Blandford Cemetery, 319 S. Crater Road with the Reverend Arnold Brown officiating.
