Calvin Taylor

Calvin Lee Taylor, 80, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 surrounded by his family at the residence. Born in Green Bay, Virginia, he was the son of the late George E. and Mattie Haythe Taylor. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Colonial Heights, and a retired veteran with the United States Navy. Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Barbara F. Taylor; a daughter, Teresa Taylor Ingo and husband, Stephen of Chester; three grandchildren, Kris Ingo, Kody Ingo, and Kristen Butler; three great-grandchildren, Dillan, Devan, and Kenzie; two sisters, Lucille T. Woolridge of Richmond, and Lois T. Barnes of Meherrin; a brother, Robert Taylor of Blackstone. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 25, 2011 in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester with the Reverend Dr. Ray Haskett officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
