Cameron Daughtry

Cameron Thomas Daughtry, 9, of Colonial Heights passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at his home. He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, Margaret and Bobby Taylor; maternal great-grandparents, Helen and William Chappell; and his uncle, Jonathan Hankins.

He was a student at North Elementary School, going into the 4th grade, and enjoyed going to Lawrenceville Baptist church with his grandparents. Cameron loved watching the Washington Redskins and playing Fortnite. When he was able to, he also enjoyed cooking and going fishing.

He is survived by his parents, Ashley Nicole and James Thomas Daughtry; sister, Savannah Daughtry; paternal grandparents, Kim and Butch Daughtry; maternal grandparents, Carolyn and Michael Hankins; maternal great-grandmother, Lillian Spain; aunt, Shannon Vanderspek and husband, Wim; uncle, Bradley Daughtry and other extended family members.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 26, 2022 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon September 25, 2022 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
