Carey Whelan

Carey Tambe Whelan, 63, of Colonial Heights, VA transitioned into eternal life on Thursday, July 21, 2022. She was born on January 25, 1959, in Petersburg, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Millicent Jones Tambe and Joseph Thomas Tambe of Emerald Isle, NC, and her brother, Kevin Tambe of Swansboro, NC. She is survived by her children, Beau and Carly Whelan; brother, Christopher Tambe of Carmen ID; Kevin Whelan (ex-husband); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Interment will be private.
