Carl Schott Jr.

Carl Fredrick Schott Jr., 64, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Carl F. Schott Sr. and Marritta Green Schott. Mr. Schott was a Retired US Army veteran having served for 24 years with the 82nd Airborne. He was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, and a former Mason. He is survived by his children, Carl F. Schott III and wife, Gene of Alabama, Cheri Lynn Spigelmyer of South Carolina, Dondi Lynn Beaver of Pennsylvania, and Jennifer Lynn Schott of Newport News; four grandchildren, Brittany, and Allysa Schott, Cara Spigelmyer, and Ryan Beaver; a sister, Carletta Wilbert of Kentucky; numerous nieces and nephews in Kentucky. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2009 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will take place on Monday December 28, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pennsylvania. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P. O.
