Carl Smith

Carl J. Smith, 90, of Colonial Heights passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021.  He was born on June 4, 1930, the son of the late William F. and Ola Terry Smith and was preceded in death by a son, Carl Daniel Smith and a grandson, Marti E. Smith.  Mr. Smith was a member of Harrowgate Worship Center, Chester and was a retired Electrician.

He is survived by his wife, Jannie L. Smith; daughter, Dorcas L. Pope; son, Phillip E. Smith (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Angie Smith, Darian Smith, Ernest Stanley Pope Jr., Jason A. Pope and Mark W. Pope; great-grandchildren, Sabrina Argueta, Corey Smith, Justin Rodriguez, Grace Nicole Widner, Skylar Pope, Colton Pope, Shaylin Pope, Celeste Pope and Dalton Pope; a brother, Herman Smith and numerous nieces & nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2021 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.  Interment will be private.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday prior the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Harrowgate Worship Center, 13811 Harrowgate Road, Chester, Virginia 23831.  Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com .
