Carol Eads

Carol Davidson Eads passed away at home on March 3, 2019 with family by her side. She was born June 5, 1951 in Kingsport, TN. She grew up in Weber City, VA. She was a 1969 graduate of Gate City High School. She attended John Tyler Community College where she received an associate degree with honors. She was preceded in death by her father, Tyler H. Davidson, Jr. She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Ray Eads of Chester; sons, Matthew Eads and wife, Stefanie and Andrew Eads and wife, Mary; grandson, Zachary Eads all from Colonial Heights; mother, Dorothy (Dot) Davidson of Weber City, VA; brothers, Ron Davidson and wife, Janet of Jacksonville, FL., Alan Davidson and wife, Joan of Marshall, VA, Mark Davison and wife, Diana of Woodbridge, VA; and several nephews. Carol was a longtime office manager at Waverly Textiles and also worked at Roper Lumber Company and ABC Builders Supply until her retirement in 2013. She was a member of Holston View United Methodist Church in Weber City, VA and attended Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church in S. Chesterfield. Carol enjoyed volunteering for the Food Pantry and Craft Workshop at Ivey Memorial. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
