Carol Anne Stewart Thurman

Carol Anne Stewart Thurman, 75, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.  Born on October 1, 1947, in the City of Petersburg, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Peyton Russell Stewart, Jr. and Joan Irene Stewart.  She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, David M. Thurman, Jr. 

She was known for her variety of crafting skills, her exceptional cooking, and tending to her flowers. Most importantly, Carol loved her family immensely – always looking forward to every holiday, birthday, family event, or special occasion. She was a proud breast cancer survivor, and a lady with a kind and loving personality.

Carol is survived by her children, Raymond T. Thurman and Kimberly J. Bollinger (Scott); her sister, Patricia S. Williams; brother, Phillip R. Stewart; stepchildren, Rosemarie Thurman, David Thurman, Patty Brown, and Lynn Sadusky; granddaughter, Kayla R. Thurman; aunt, Jean Collier; nephews, Joseph Pierce, Jason Williams, Phillip Stewart; niece, Kristen Woodard; and many other beloved family members. 

A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
