Carolyn Wilkins “Tiny” Anckaitis, 83, of Colonial Heights passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at the Colonial Heights Health Care Center. She was born August 25, 1938 in Danville, Virginia to the late Sandy Nelson Wilkins and Nonnie Mae McDaniel Burnett and was preceded in death by her husbands, Linwood Irby Fraher Jr. and Lt. Col. William Henry Anckaitis, U.S. Army (Ret.); two sons, Linwood Irby Fraher III and Mark Edward Fraher and one brother, Rebel Wilkins.
Tiny was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Colonial Heights and retired as a registered nurse from Southside Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth “Scottie” Fraher; son, Nelson Keith Fraher; stepson, Clifford Anckaitis; stepdaughters, Debra Lynn Harris and Sharon Negris (Paul); grandchildren, Stefan W-L Fraher and Linwood Fraher, Brandon and Rachel Harris and Olivia and Grant Negris.
Her remains will rest on Monday, February 1, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, Virginia 23805 with Father Danny Cogut officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the ASPCA, www.aspca.org/donate or the St. Ann Catholic Church Food Bank, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, S. Chesterfield, Virginia 23834.
