Carolyn Burton

Carolyn Butler Burton, 76, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018. Born December 26, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Milton Russell and Dorothy Jacobs Butler. She was a former member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all that knew her. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Wayne Franklin Burton, Sr.; children, Wayne "Chip" Burton, Jr. (Lisa), Regina Burton Uvanni (Frank), Jason Russell Burton (Kathleen); grandchildren, Ashley, Elizabeth, Robbie, Chase, Frankie, Carah; and other extended family members and many friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 3110 Greenwood Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834, with the Dr. Andy Brockelman officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday night, September 25, 2018 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
