Carolyn Hile

Carolyn W. Hile, 84, of Colonial Heights passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at John Randolph Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Harvey Samuel and Clara Wells and the widow of Clarence Robert Hile and was proceeded in death by her siblings, Russell Wells, Winnie Wells, Robert (Red) Wells, and Kathleen Odenwelder. Mrs. Hile is survived by her children; Robert E. Hile and wife, Patricia "Pat" of Chester, David S. Hile and wife Mary of Florida, Sandra H. Moore and husband, Bernard "Bernie", of Matoaca, Marsha H. Blakely of Colonial Heights, Lori H. Fuller and husband, Todd of Richmond; thirteen grandchildren, Carl Hile, Lisa Brough, Teresa Fisher, Heather Sherman, Nicole Hile, Jennifer Marshall, Tracie Richey, Taylor Moore, Brianne Blakely Trotman, Zachary (Zch) Blakely, Claire Blakely, Kyle Fuller, Tori Fuller, Sydney Fuller; nine great-grandchildren, Logan Brough, Madilynne Parker Sherman, Brooke Marshall, Emilie Rhodes, Kaelie Richey, Talan Trotman, Teagan Trotman, Ashley Fisher, Ryan Fisher; two brothers, Rudolph "Rudy" Wells and wife, Betty of Hopewell, Harvey "Billy" Wells and wife, Shirley of Dinwiddie, and other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2011 in Highland United Methodist Church 125 E. Westover Avenue Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend William Rawlings officiating. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 7-8:30 p.m.at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory 2033 Boulevard 23834. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to; The Morning Star Sunday School Class, Highland United Methodist Church.
