Carolyn Lee Pittman

Carolyn Lee Pittman, 79, passed from this life Saturday, April 6, 2024. Born July 23, 1944, in Roanoke, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Edwards Pittman and Mabel Virginia Pittman. She had two sisters, the late Mary Louise Dezotell (husband Kelly) who lived in Kent, Washington, and Joan Myrtle Pittman whose current whereabouts are unknown. She also has a cousin, Frances Donaldson, who lives in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. 

Carolyn was a longtime member of the Jefferson Street (Petersburg) and the Cameron Avenue (Colonial Heights) Churches of Christ. She spent her adult life in the Tri-City area and retired as a librarian in the Prince George County School System. She is fondly remembered by her church families as a person who was knowledgeable in the scriptures and had a love for flowers and plants. Several years ago, she took up residency in assisted living facilities and most recently enjoyed calling the Brighter Living Assisted Living Facility in Hopewell her home. She was grateful to the staff and residents during her stay and passing there. 

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral and Crematory 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Carolyn’s honor to the Cameron Avenue Church of Christ.
