Carrie Ball

Carrie W. Ball, 94, of Petersburg, formerly of Dinwiddie, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013. Mrs. Ball was born on March 14, 1919 in Highland Springs, Virginia to the late Rufus Alexander and Lottie Eggleston Waddell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Ball; son, Bobby Lee Ball and three brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Ball is survived by a brother, Harry L. Waddell of Dinwiddie; two sisters, Pauline W. Leigh of Chesterfield and Patricia W. Vaughan of Dinwiddie; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Golden LivingCenter-Battelfield Park for the love and care given to Mrs. Ball. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2013 in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George with the Reverend Carl Weaver officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
