Carrie Perkinson

Carrie Leigh Perkinson, 92, went to spend Valentine's Day with her sweetheart on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Born February 9, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Linwood A. and Mary A. Leigh, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Orbie Keeler Perkinson, Jr.; son, Randolph Eugene "Bootsie" Story Jr.; and brother, Linwood Leigh. Mrs. Perkinson cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Rodney Dale Perkinson, Sr. and wife, Debbie; grandson, Rodney Dale Perkinson, Jr. and wife, Melanee; granddaughter, Brittany Nicole Perkinson and fiancé, Scott Andrews; great-grandchildren, Brileigh Elizabeth Perkinson, Rodney "Bubba" D. Perkinson III, Christopher Scott Andrews, Jr., Jacob Owen Andrews, Kamryn Rose Andrews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday night, February 16, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
