Cassie Hundley Miller, 94, of Chester passed away into the Arms of her Lord Jesus peacefully at her home on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 after a long illness. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Clay and Christina E. Hundley; her husband, Clarence P. Miller; son, Daniel Clay Miller; two brothers, and three sisters. She was a member of Harrowgate Baptist Church for over fifty years and served in the Nursery Department. Mrs. Miller is survived by a daughter, Phyllis H. Miller, who was her primary caregiver; sons, Ronald P. Miller (Brenda), Donald "Lee" Miller (Donna) all of Chester; daughter, Linda Ford (Isom) of Chesterfield; brothers, George Hundley, Calvin Hundley; sister, Rachel Dalton; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 24, 2017 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia, with the Reverend Jeffery Warner of Mt. Solon, Virginia officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Chester, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at the funeral home.
