Catherine Lavinka

Catherine Frances Lavinka, 83, of Colonial Heights passed away on Friday May 8, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Boney Uzmann, and was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Beth Lavinka. Mrs. Lavinka was a long time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Petersburg. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Lavinka; daughters, Nora Lavinka, of Titusville Fl., Anne Norris and husband Frank of Titusville, Florida, Kathleen Wissler and husband Wayne of Fallston, MD.; sons Thomas Lavinka and his wife Kim of Chesterfield, VA, and John Lavinka of Colonial Heights; grandchildren, Aaron Lavinka, Nathan Lavinka, Frank Norris, Catherine Norris, Elizabeth Norris, Ryan Wissler, Allison Wissler and Alexa Lavinka; sisters Marie Uzmann, and Margaret Uzmann of Hazleton, PA and Jean Skopowski of Glen Mills, PA. A funeral mass will be held 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday May 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 151 W. Washington St. Petersburg VA. 23805, with Father Steve Antes as Celebrant Interment St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7- 8:30 p.m. Monday evening with a Christian wake service Monday at 7:00pm at the Colonial Heights chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home & Crematory 2033 Boulevard and also one hour prior to the mass on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Colonial Heights Fire & EMS P.O.
