Cecile Maywalt

Cecile Claudine Maywalt, 90, of Colonial Heights, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 10, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Bertha Childress Cox. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Maywalt, Sr. and two sisters, Barbara Sorenson and Dorothy Villipeg She is survived by her children: David Maywalt, Jr. and wife, Suzanne of Richmond, William F. "Bill" Maywalt and wife, Carol of South Chesterfield, Denise Clark and husband, R. Clement Clark, Jr. of South Chesterfield, and Arlene "Tiny" Whitt and husband, Dwayne of South Chesterfield; grandchildren: Clement "Ricky" Clark III, Jonathan Clark, Brandy Clark and Joseph Clark, the children of Denise Clark, and Dwayne "DJ" Whitt and Danielle Whitt, the children of Arlene Maywalt Whitt; and five great-grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015 at East Matoaca Cemetery, Memorial Avenue, S. Chesterfield, Virginia 23803 with the Reverend Mike Murray officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
