Chappie Sue Lumpkin Barbour, 88, of Chester, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Tyler's Retreat at Iron Bridge. She was the daughter of the late William Addison Burroughs and Shelly Corner Lumpkin and the widow of Arnold P. Barbour. Mrs. Barbour was a member of Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights. She worked many years as a cafeteria worker for Chesterfield County Schools Systems. Mrs. Barbour is survived by two sons, Charles P. Barbour and wife, Jody of Chester, and Billy L. Barbour and wife, Marti of Basalt, of Colorado; two daughters, Shirley S. Smith and husband, Ronnie of Glen Allen, and Brenda B. English and husband, Chuck of Richmond, seven grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Maris Shaw of Colorado. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church 17120 Jefferson Davis Highway Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834, with the Reverend Richard Geoghegan officiating. Interment Sunset Memorial Park Chester, Virginia. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 26, 2011 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
