Charlene Suter

Charlene Sweeney Suter, 60, of Sutherland, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Katherine Spinner Sweeney and the widow of Eric Lee Suter. She was also preceded in death by a brother, George Sweeney. Mrs. Suter retire from the Virginia Department of Transportation with over forty years of service. She is survived by a brother, Jeff Sweeney; sisters, Agnes VanVranken and husband, Don, Arlene Thomas and husband, Brent, and Susan Towsley and husband, Greg; five nieces, three nephews, seven great nieces and three great nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend Michael Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
