Charles Birdsong

Charles F. Birdsong, 92, of Colonial Heights passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the Colonial Heights Convalescent Center. Born February 11, 1925, he was the son of the late Issac M. and Lucille D. Birdsong, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred G. Birdsong. Mr. Birdsong was a United States Army veteran, having proudly served during WWII and the Korean War. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post #284 and the Colonial Heights VFW #2239, Volture #1530 - 40 and 8, and volunteered his services to the McGuire VA Hospital for 34 years. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 11, 2017 in Southlawn Memorial Park, S. Prince George. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
