Charles Burton

Charles Robert "Bobby" Burton, 85, of DeWitt passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at his residence. He was born September 28, 1932 to the late Charlie Morris and Betty Lynn Burton and was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Doris P. Burton. Mr. Burton was a United States Army Veteran and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. He is survived by two sons, Johnie Ray Chestnutt and wife, Deborah and Ronald Lynn Burton; daughter-in-law, Rose Burton; grandchildren, Angie McMillan and husband Eric, Ashley Waddell and husband, Brian, Sean Chestnutt and wife, Danielle, Jherrica Childers and husband, Mark, Zak Burton and Alex Burton; and six great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church, 1226 W. Roslyn Road, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Gene Ballance officiating. Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Drive, Sandston, Virginia 23150. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Flowers are welcome.
