Charles Eblin

Charles "Chuck" E. Eblin, 79, of Chester, died on Friday, June 5, 2009 at the Medical College of Virginia. He was the son of the late Ben and Marcella Metzler Eblin. Mr. Eblin was a 12 year United States Army veteran, and served in the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the Colonial Heights Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife, Cornelia M. Eblin; daughter, Lisa Eblin Smith and husband, Patrick of Colonial Heights; two step-sons, Mervin R. Walker and wife, Joanne of Delaware, Roger Dale Dickerson and wife, Janet of Colonial Heights; three grandchildren, Emily, P.W., and Madison Smith; step-grandson, David R. Walker; step-great grandson, Joey D. Walker; two sisters, Ima Jean Conkle, Bonnie Crowder; two brothers, Homer and Bennie Eblin; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. A memorial service will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday June 12, 2009 in the Colonial Heights Baptist Church, 17201 Jefferson Davis Hwy. Colonial Heights, 23834 with the Reverend Louis Lamphire officiating. Inurnment at a later date. The family will receive friends following the service at church. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
