Charles Evans Sr.

Charles L. Evans Sr., 60, long-life resident of Dinwiddie, VA passed away on July 1, 2022, at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Chesterfield, VA.

Charles was a skilled craftsman and welder who served his community as a Volunteer Firefighter in several stations across Chesterfield and Dinwiddie Counties. He was a long-time member of Smyrna Baptist Church in Dinwiddie, VA and enjoyed serving in various events as well as driving the church vans to provide transportation to those who needed it.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary V. Ripley and his stepfather, Arthur L Ripley. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cindy L. Evans and Son Charles L. Evans Jr.; his brother, William Farthing; three sisters, Shirley Edwards, Sandy Green, and Debra Schrum and husband John.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 AM on July 9th, 2022 at Smryna Baptist Church 18971 Carson Rd, Dinwiddie, VA, 23841.
