Charles Jones Sr.

Charles Eugene Jones, Sr., 87, of Sutherland, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023. Born on August 21, 1935, he was the son of the late William H. Jones and Ellen Wells Jones.

Mr. Jones retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company after many years of service. He then became a carpenter for his son’s siding business. He was especially known for being the jack of all trades. Mr. Jones was also a member of Poole Christian Church in Church Road.

He is survived by his loving family; his wife, Doris Jones; children, Gene Jones and wife, Tracy, Timmy Jones, and Donna Thomas and husband, Bruce; grandchildren, Pamela Thomas, Dustin Jones, and Jesse McKee; sister, Jeanette Aldridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2023, in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road S. Prince George, Virginia 23805.
