Charles Edward Kelley, 61, of Chesterfield, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, January 22, 2011. Born in Petersburg, he was the son of the late Evelyn Jackson and Cecil H. Kelley Jr. Mr. Kelley is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Carol Kelley of 30 years; three sons, Terry Shane Kelley (Tenita) of Providence Forge, Kristopher Michael Kelley (Monica), and Kevin Ross Kelley all of Chesterfield; one daughter, Cathy Lynne Kelley (Michael) of Union, West Virginia; one sister, Linda Ketcham (Sam) of Colonial Heights; one brother, Thomas F. Kelley of Colonial Heights; and a brother-in-law, Edward W. Urda (Patricia) of Bracy; three granddaughters, Lisa Marie Kelley of Bluefield, West Virginia, Morgan Elizabeth Kelley of Prince George, and Alexis Michaela Ratliff and their mother, Christina M. Ratliff of Prince George.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; devoted friend, Wayne Riggins (Sandra) of Colonial Heights, uncles, Edward R. Jackson (Janet L.) of Prince George and Jack R. Gadsby of Petersburg; aunts, Grace C. Jackson of Colonial Heights, Linda B. Jackson and Gloria D. Jackson; three devoted and beloved schnauzers, Max, Bear-Bear, and Mollye Anne. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Dr. Steve Felker officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
