Charles Nesmith Sr.

Charles Harmon Nesmith Sr., 83, of Colonial Heights went to be with the Lord Thursday May 1, 2008 at the Medical College of Virginia. He was the son of the late Jacob H and Carrie Leonard Nesmith. Mr. Nesmith was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. He is survived by his wife Dorothy E. Nesmith, his children Charles H. Nesmith Jr. and wife Laura of Petersburg, Debora N. Anderson and husband Melvin of Prince George, Glenn A. Nesmith of Georgia , nine grandchildren Patricia L. Nesmith, Robert C. Nesmith and wife Kay, Michael A. Nesmith and wife Susie, Melvin L. (Matt) Anderson III., Melissa A. Delicate and husband Matthew, Gregory A. Anderson, Christi L. Nesmith, Nicholas R. Nesmith, Jacob C. Nesmith, seven great grandchildren and one sister Hazel N. Baird A funeral service will be held Monday, May 5, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory 2033; Boulevard, with the Rev. Andy Brockelman and Rev. Dr. Jeff Ginn officiating burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 p.m. the day of the service at the funeral home.
