Charles Phillingane Jr.

Charles N. Phillingane, Jr., 85, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2017, at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born to the late Charles Sr. and Bettie Ellis Phillingane, Charles is also preceded in death by his brother, Milton Phillingane. Charles served his country through his service in the United States Army and worked as a Contractor afterwards. He was a devoted member and Elder of the Petersburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Charles is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor Margaret Phillingane; a son, William (Bill) Brian Phillingane; Daughter-in-law, Connie Marie Phillingane; Brother, Preston Grammer; Sisters, Emma Ruth Phillingane and Doris Phillingane; grandchildren, Justin Andrew Phillingane and Meagan Nicole Pavasko; great-grandchildren, Milana Nicole Phillingane, Bryson Dennis Pavasko, and Lucas Andrew Phillingane; a grandson-in-law, Bryan Pavasko; and a granddaughter-in-law, Gabriela Aguilar Phillingane. A graveside service will be held on 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at Southlawn Memorial Park 1911 Birdsong Road, South Prince George, VA 23805. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Petersburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church 300 Poplar Drive Petersburg, Virginia 23805. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 3935 S. Crater Road Petersburg, Virginia 23805.
